Duration:

User Research, Surveys, Personas, Ideation. Usability Evaluations, Lo-Fi and Hi-Fi Interactive Prototypes, Wireframes, Competitor Audits.

June 2022 - December 2022

User Research:

The needs and emotions of users have been identified through comprehensive surveys. Among the most prominent challenges are the difficulty in finding quality and affordable floral arrangements, the absence of recommendations from florists, and the lack of customization in the selection of flowers that compose the arrangements. Based on this valuable information, a persona has been developed that encompasses the main issues identified among our users. Problem statements with their corresponding hypotheses have been formulated, aiming to devise effective solutions. Additionally, value propositions have been conceived, and a thorough competitor audit has been conducted to fully understand the florist market landscape.

Designs:

The design process began by creating page sketches on paper. The most promising versions were selected to create an attractive and user-friendly version. Subsequently, digital wireframes were developed.

Usability Study:

A usability study was conducted with the participation of five users in an unmoderated and remote format. From this process, six significant conclusions were derived:

  • Data confirmation screen.
  • Add user addresses.
  • Add payment methods.
  • Add coupon usage.
  • Display current order status.
  • Add product or service review.

High-Fidelity Mockups and Prototype:

Based on the results obtained from the usability study, significant adjustments and improvements were made, incorporating various details, which culminated in the creation of the final mockups. I invite you to view the high-fidelity prototype at the following link:

Conclusions and Next Steps:

It has been learned that understanding user needs and preferences is essential for delivering successful design solutions. Additionally, the importance of considering a diverse audience and valuing feedback as a crucial element for the continuous improvement of the design project has been reinforced.
